*FTA* too strong on Bridge
Friday night was another intense battle against *FTA* on one of their favourite maps, DC Bridge.
Round 1: SAS - Coalition
SAS were all pumped up and ready for a hell of a fight with FTA, yet no one expected an onslaught they were soon to face. Mortars hit the entrance to the bridge hard and took most of the gerbles down. Luckily we managed to hold the middle grey for some time yet lack of reinforcements failed to achieve success. FTA ran over the middle flag and managed to hold it for the entire round.
SAS - 0
FTA - 149
Round 2: SAS - Opposition
After an upsetting start we still had hope as this week we sought a 4 round match. Roll out had not changed as we were sure we knew what was coming. Once again we were stopped in our tracks and fired upon heavily. FTA stormed our side of the river preventing us to even get a glimpse of the bridge. Tickets fell annoyingly fast.
SAS - 0
FTA - 187
Round 3: SAS - Coalition
With the mood falling at a dramatic rate SAS knew we had to do something special. Sneaking around their back flags had to be successful in order to achieve a SAS victory. Constant fire had SAS scattered around the map unknown what to do next. Because of this our back flags were dropping to the enemy with greater ease. Teamwork and great sportsmanship were in our favor as we did not let this get to us, sooner than expected our back flags were soon recovered.
SAS - 0
FTA - 149
Round 2: SAS - Opposition
A complete change of tactics to flank FTA and plough through the river failed instantly. The rude awakening had set in, and brought the SAS tactics down to a halt. Tickets fell fast, yet SAS were never going to allow our back flags to fall again. The gerbles succeeded.
SAS - 0
FTA - 156
Final Score: FTA 641 to SAS 0
A huge shout out to SAS who played their absolute best to their ability. Unknown to us that Bridge was one of FTA's most successful maps. Well played and many lessons learnt.
GG to all
Looking forward to your challenges.
