Welcome to THE Southern Gaming Forums.

Before going any further, these are key points in what SG|. is looking for in a member;

1. Team Players:
This is number 1 for a reason. If you can’t follow orders, or can’t follow a captain's instructions, then this is not the clan for you.

2. Fair Play:
This means absolutely no cheating, stats padding, in game exploits, team killing. It will result in being KFC (Kicked From Clan). All players are required to take screenshots or run fraps if directed by their Captains or SG|. Admins (Chiefs of Staff/High Command). This will only be asked in extreme circumstances.

3. Attitude:
While skill is important, it’s SG's belief that great skill comes from a great attitude. If you are keen to learn new skills, and dedicated enough to practice them, you will get them. Additionally, our team is not just made up of skilled players, but mates.

3. Commitment:
While we don't expect people to play 24/7, but our teams do require a fair bit of time for playing and practice. You would be required to attend 2-3 nights per week minimum in most cases, and this would be assessed during your trial.

4. Communications:
While playing matches and pubbing we use Ventrilo for voice comms. You will need to download this from our front page. Forums are to be checked & read daily. We suggest to become interactive with all our members.

5. Trial Period Process: (Currently not applied to World of Warcraft applicants)
If accepted for a trial, it will run for 2 weeks (14 days since date of application). We will look at the following, time spent on Ventrilo (whilst playing), participation in the forums, attitude/skill, attendance at "Training Nights".

If this doesnt suit you, then unfortunately SG|. is not the clan you are looking for. If you do fit the mold, please, continue reading.

If you would like to join SG, we ask that you make a new thread in "Policies, Guidelines & Recruitment" forum introducing yourself.

There are some key things you MUST state in order to be considered for a trial. These include:

1. Gaming Alias(s).
   (Which name or other name do you normally play under?)
   
   
2. Age
   (16+ only please)
   
   
3. Geographical Location.
   (Roughly)
   
   
4. Apply for which Game/Division.
   (eg. BF2; COD4; COD:WaW; DC; L4D; WoW)
   
   
5. Have you been apart of a Clan/Guild in the past?
   (If yes, what Clan(s))
   
   
6. Do you play for any other clan/guild(s) in any one (or more) of these games/comps;
   BF2; COD4; COD:WaW; DC; L4D; WoW
   (If yes, which one(s) and with what clan/guilds(s))
   
   
7. What will you bring to our Gaming Clan?
   (The purpose of signing up with SG|.)
   
   
8. Which SG|. Member referred you to apply? or How did you know of SG|.?
   
   
9. Xfire Username
   (For contact purposes to carry onto the next stage of the recruiting process)
   
   
10. Will you abide by our "SG - Code of Conduct"?
    (The following must be read and understood in order to proceed with Southern Gaming)
    

If you like, you can also say a bit more about yourself: your gaming history, what you do for a living, whether you have a family, what some of your other interests are, etc. - this information is optional but welcome.

It is a requirement that you have Xfire and a Username in order to be contacted, and that you have read the; SG FAQ, Code of Conduct.

We advise you to use a non-free email address when registering your Forum Username, we do not block registration with these email accounts ourselves but certain free providers email filters treat our email as junk or spam & you not receive our confirmation reply email.
eg: If you use hotmail, our emails will hit your junk email box straight away!

If you are having any problems at all, do not hesitate to contact a member of the High Command or Division Captains. Direct links to PM's (personal messages) can be found here.

If we cannot contact you for a couple of days (either due to you not being online, or giving incorrect details) after you have posted your recruitment form, your recruitment application will be declined.

Once you've submitted the application, a Division Captain will get in contact with you as soon as possible.
